Mango Sticky Rice

A delicious tropical dessert popular in Thailand. This should be popular everywhere it's that good.

Sticky Rice

  • 1 cup glutinous rice see post under variations
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp monk fruit or sugar (coconut or cane)

Coconut sauce

  • 1/2 can coconut cream
  • 3 tbsp monk fruit or sugar (coconut or cane)



  • In a medium-size pot, place the dry rice, water, salt, and sugar bring to the boil.
  • Once boiling, cover with a lid, reduce heat to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes.

Coconut sauce

  • In a pot add 1/2 can of coconut cream and sugar. Bring to the boil and reduce heat. Simmer for 10 minutes or until a thicker sauce has formed.
