3 months

I’m a little late on this one but hey! Better late than never.

15th January

It felt like just the other day you were the tiniest bundle in my arms and I was afraid you would break if I held you wrong. Now you are the length of my torso and soon you will outgrow sitting on my knees.

You are such a lively baby. In the past few weeks, you have become so alert. You learned how to hit your mobile toys with one hand and then two. You have even started rolling slightly from side to side.

You still love trying to fit a whole fist into your mouth or try and put both hands into your mouth and you haven’t quite grasped how to suck your fingers yet. You can hold your own head up now when sitting and love looking around- the ceiling fan fascinates you.

Your little grasp is stronger than ever. You love holding daddy’s finger in the morning when you two play.

You love happy faces and meeting new people.

You’re slowly getting used to your car seat and mommy is getting better at your cues. I keep asking myself if I could go back to when you were born and do it over again knowing what I know now, would I? Would I be better at knowing your cues? Would I know what to do when you’re gassy? And honestly, I don’t think I would go back. It’s been a beautiful journey of growth . You have taught me so much.

Lessons learned: It’s okay to slow down and enjoy you. Patience to complete tasks in a longer time period. Kindness to myself when I don’t get everything done in a day or the house is a mess.I’ve learned that it’s better to not entertain at night when you’re still new to routines.

You love being cuddled and held. You take all your naps while wrapped to me. The movement soothes you and you don’t like being left on your own. You’re are sleeping slightly longer periods at night. Yay for me and dad.

In your first 3 months, you celebrated your first Christmas, went to New York, had your first train, subway, and ferry ride. You’ve been told too many times how good looking you are by strangers.

Your smile lights up our world. You love daddy reading stories to you. Your little chats with me in the morning are priceless.

We love you Leo. Keep being the happy loveable boy you are.

Love mom
